As many already know the brand Converse purchased in 2003 by Nike. Converse only had a contract with Kesbo for Dutch distribution. The contract expires this year. Early 2015 Nike will take over the distribution of Converse.
This means of course that things will change. In Germany is the distribution of Converse already taken over by Nike this year. We know that the accounts of certain stores is put stop. This will also be done in the Netherlands. An account implies that the brand is delivered to the retailer. This can be done by the mark itself or by a contracted company, in this case it was Kesbo.
But other things can change, such as a maximum limit on orders of a particular model. This may mean for the consumer that certain models and/or colors will be difficult to obtain.
This year, some prices of Converse shoes already changed. And some models have been given a new look.
We as Sneakerpaleis will continue to sell the All Star Converse shoes.
Update: (Tuesday, November 11 at 19.05)
We have noticed that 800 stores of the 1200 stores will continue to sell Converse.
